Computer Technology For Kids
It is believed that learning takes place best when it is connected to what is genuinely a component of the world around children. Since through information and communication technology (ICT) children can model the world outside the classroom, at Arise school computer studies are incorporated to support children in their struggle to gain understanding of the world and to function comfortable within it. With the use of ICT our school offers an environment where children actively solve problems at the same time mastering basic skills and gaining new knowledge while developing attitudes necessary to living in the changing world.
Through the use of ICT children will learn both academic and critical skills right from the time they enter school until they leave. At Arise, ICT is designed to enhance that learning experience is relevant, engaging and challenging enough to enable the pupils reflect on the connection between life in school, life at home, and life in the world.
We also understand that there are many security risks that affects children in the use of ICT, especially connected devices. The most common threat to children being pedophile and other similar cyber criminals who use social engineering to exploit children. Our study shows that children these days seem pretty sharp with technology and the Internet; however, some parents forget that their kids are still learning and may not always be prepared to spot the risks and pitfalls of being constantly connected. At Arise, we teach children how to securely use technology and educate them on basic cyber security tips that can be considered at their age.
